Student Work – Manuel Bortoletti

Designed by Manuel Bortoletti | Country: Italy

“The project illustrates the brand identity of Tenuta Veneta, the name of a fictitious multifunctional structure which promotes the quality of the agri-food of the Italian region Veneto.

The products are not only bought here, but also consumed and studied. To offer that service, Tenuta Veneta is composed by a bistro, a shop and a place where it organizes cooking class, tastings and teaching.”

“The design process starts with the search for a visual in line with the values of Tenuta Veneta, particularly focusing towards the producer/consumer relationship and the provision of healthy and natural food. In this sense, the logical path led to the conclusion that the protagonists of the Veneto agri-food reality are nothing more than those located at the origin of the production process: plants and animals from which raw materials are derived, and the producer that collects and transforms them.

So, the visual project starts with the logo analysis, whose purpose is giving the feeling of direct contact between the producer and the final consumer. Then, it continues with studying the labels of the products sold in the shop, trying to create a consistent visual identity, adhering to the values of the brand.”

Sailor’s Island Summer House

When you think of a summer house, you think of an small apartment or a house with not so good interior.
This summer house is different, it’s not your ordinary summer house, it’s extremely well furnished and designed with view to a lake.

Architect Henrique Steyer got most of the furniture from São Paulo and from Milan, Italy while going to an international furniture fair there.

Lucetta

Designed by Alvvino | Country: Italy

“Lucetta is an innovative set of two small magnetic bicycle lights which confirms the creative partnership between Pizzolorusso and the Italian company Palomar.

Easily attached to several different parts of a bicycle, the two small lights – white for the front, red for the rear – are switched on and off with just one click.

Designed to stay securely in place on even the bumpiest of roads, the lights give the option of a steady, slow or fast flashing beam, also selected with a ‘magic’ interaction.”

“Once a destination is reached, the lights are easily removed and may be linked together and slip in your pocket. The range of the beam is wide enough to reach vehicles, even if the light is tilted down. Lucetta embodies maximum utility and versatility.

The object is simple; it doesn’t have a technical look but a friendly feature, ‘clean’ and yet a bit mysterious.

It is designed to take as little space as possible and to stay with other small personal things of everyday usage – keys, mobile phone, loose change – that ‘inhabit’ our pockets.”

Fancy cars made with reclaimed wood

Fancy cars made with reclaimed wood

Just because you pay a lot for a car doesn’t mean it actually came from the ‘finest ingredients’ available. Your fancy new car may very well be made of reclaimed materials these days. The most recent installment in this trend showed up in Pininfarina’s 2012 Cambiano. The car’s reclaimed wood interior design made its first appearance at the Geneva auto show in 2012. Wondering what other life the wood interior lead before ending up in the car? Apparently all of it comes from old ‘barber poles’ found in Venice, Italy.
